Probably not going to use Dwayne's in the future. I've had about six rolls developed through them - the quality of development was just fine, however the customer service could use with some fine tuning, and their turn around time is nothing to write home about. Medium format scans (6x6) came back at around 2400px by 2400px at 72 DPI - okay for digital viewing and posting but you'll need to scan negatives again for anything more critical that a general preview or if you intend to print. Dwayne's has name recognition due to the part they played in the Kodachrome saga, however there are better choices of labs out there.

The lowest prices on medium format processing I have found (may be different in a big city with lots of photo labs) and the turn around time is quick. I usually get my film back 3 days after I send it out, and since I'm on the East Coast I'd consider that fast. It costs about $3 to get a roll done, $5 if you want prints, and $6 if you want the film processed and put on a CD. The nicest thing is that they call if there are any problems or questions pretty much the moment they receive your film in the mail. I suppose that may be the only drawback: If you aren't in their city you'd have to mail your film, but to me, its worth it.

I found an unprocessed kodacolor disc along with some undeveloped rolls of Advantix film at my parents. I did a search and found Dwayne's photos and decided I had nothing to lose. Wonderful, fast service. I emailed them a question and had a response within 24hrs, sent 1 disc, 6 rolls of Advantix and 1 roll of B&W film out on a Sat via priority mail, the following Weds (a week and half later) I had my pictures back. Considering that the film was 15 years old, and the disc was almost 30 years old and had been stored in all kinds of conditions, the photos turned out well. Being able to have my film developed with such fast service and great quality considering the age and storage conditions was wonderful, would recommend them and will use them again.

I had baby shower invites printed by them back in 2010. Loved how they turned out and their resonable prices. Haven't been since but I'd stop there first if I ever needed prints again.

Have black and white commercial Kodak film you need to be processed? Don't bother, apparently they only process color film, despite not being able to find such a statement on their site. Will NEVER use this shop again. The extra star is only for not charging me.
